Take Ten!

Take Ten! is a simple way for school leaders to show up for their teams—by stepping in so teachers can step away for 10–15 minutes of calm. Leaders designate times for teachers to sign up for a break; leaders cover classes and connect with students.

How it Works

School leaders set aside 10–15 minute blocks to step into classrooms, giving teachers time to recharge. Staff sign up on the Take Ten! schedule, and while covering, leaders can supervise, lead a quick activity, or leave a handwritten note of encouragement to brighten the teacher’s day. This resource includes instructions, a sample script to explain Take Ten, a sign up schedule template, celebration note printables, and class coverage activity ideas.
